Not Yo Mamas Banana Pudding

I made this for Christmas Eve which is held at the boyfriend's family home with tons of people.  I still had leftovers, but it was a big hit!  I had a few problems making this because I only have almond milk.  My instant pudding didn't set up, but once I added all the other ingredients and chilled it all by placing my mixer bowl in the fridge, it did come together.   This is a Paula Deen recipe ! Ingredients 1 (12-oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened 2 cups milk 1 (5-oz) box instant French vanilla pudding mix 6 to 8 bananas, sliced 2 bags chessmen cookies Directions Line the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top. In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smo...

Rice Krispies Treats

Ingredients: 3 tablespoons butter, melted 1 10-ounce bag of marshmallows 6 cups rice krispies cereal 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon salt Directions: In a large pot melt 3 tablespoons butter. Add in the vanilla and salt, then the 10-ounce bag of marshmallows and melt until smooth. Quickly stir in the cereal and transfer immediately to a grease 13x9 pan. I greased the bottom of a 1 cup measuring cup and used it to smoosh the cereal into the pan.

Brownie Oreo Lush Dessert

Bake brownies in a 9x13 pan using the 'cake like' instructions.  Cool for at least 1 hour. Blend 1 package softened cream cheese, 2 cups thawed Cool Whip, and 1 cup powdered sugar until smooth in a mixer with paddle attachment.  Top the brownies with Cool Whip mixture. Crush 20 Oreo cookies in a food processor.  Top the Cool Whip layer with about 16 cookies worth on crumbs, saving about 4 cookies worth for later.  Mix 2 packages instant chocolate pudding with 3 cups of milk in mixer with the whisk attachment.  Beat about 3 minutes until thick.  Top with remaining Cool Whip.  I wish I had a little more!  I recommend getting the larger than 8 ounce size. The final step is before eating, you add the reserved 4 crushed cookie crumbs.

Christmas Tree Brownies

Foursquare Day BBQ

My husband uses Foursquare on his work iPhone. I think everyone at his office uses it too. His workplace hosted a Foursquare Day BBQ today so my husband and I made food for the party. About 40 people RVPed for the party. Brats, burgers, chips, and drinks were provided by other people. Cantaloupe Salsa appetizer My husband made this salsa. He used red onion, cilantro, juice a lime (1 lime per cataloupe), cantaloupe, and jalapeno. I don't usually eat cantaloupe as just sliced fruit but I really did like it as a salsa. The salads Asian Coleslaw I made this recipe Ramen Noddle Coleslaw and my only addition is I like to toast the almonds before adding them to the slaw Wagon Wheel Pasta I use this recipe Wagon Wheel Taco Pasta Salad and I also add Good Seasonings Italian Dressing. I buy the packet of seasoning in the salad dressing aisle and follow the directions on the package. I like my pasta salad to be a little wetter than the original recipe. Bread...

Rice Krispys with a twist

I don't think I have personally ever made Rice Krispy treats. I may have been in the kitchen once when my mom made them. Anthony is in charge of his work party this year. The caterers brought some kind of Rice Krispy treat that he enjoyed. It involved a peanut butter layer and mini marshmallows. So. We made the regular rice krispys treat recipe www.ricekrispies.com Look for the ORIGINAL recipe. There are other variations. 3 tablespoons butter 10 ounces marshmallow 6 cups cereal Melt the butter, then add the marshmallows and melt them too, last you add the cereal and smoosh it all into a pan. Next we took 1 cup corn syrup and boiled it (it boils FAST) Then added 1 cup peanut butter to the hot syrup and stirred it until smooth We spooned the peanut butter mixture over the rice krispy treats Lastly we sprinkled peanuts, chocolate chips, and mini marshmallows over the wet peanut butter layer. Now it is sitting in the fridge. I have no idea if this is like the dessert DH had but h...
