Our friend Bettina is a graphic designer who used to work with my husband. She was throwing a baby shower for a friend and wanted owl cupcakes. She didn't know how to make her vision come true and asked me what I thought. I showed her these

I told her we could do something similar
I took lots of my baking supplies over to her apartment last Thursday and we spent a few hours working on owls. :) They turned out very cute! She designed and printed the shower invitations that we used to trace.
The Supplies
Microwavable bowls
Colored candy melt
Wax Paper
Toothpicks
Disposable piping bags
Piping tips, the smallest round tip possible

The process
1. Melt outline chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute, stir well
2. Scoop melted chocolate into the piping bag
3. Place wax paper over the image you are tracing
4. Trace the outlines
5. Pop in the freezer and continue tracing outlines
6. Once outlines have hardened melt your next color in the microwave
7. Fill piping bag with the new color and fill in the colored areas
8. Use a toothpick to smooth out the color
9. Continue color and freezing process until image is completely colored in
10. Peel image from wax paper and place on a prepared and frosted cupcake
