Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce

Yesterday I had the idea that I wanted homemade spaghetti sauce.
This is the recipe my mom uses (she puts italian sausage in, but I am not today)

1 cup diced onion
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 minced garlic cloves
1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes, undrained
1 15 ounce tomato sauce
1 15 ounce tomato paste

Combine all ingredients in the crockpot. Cook on low for about 8 hours. Timing will depend on your crockpot.

Serve over cooked spaghetti noodles

I don't know why, but I never would have though to to make spaghetti sauce in my crockpot. Thanks for the idea!

It has to simmer for so long so I thought why not stick it in the crockpot ? :)
