There was a time during the pandemic where we worked our 40 hour weeks, but were only paid 75% of it. They decided this year they would give us the money we earned during that time, but did not receive. I just got that money on my last paycheck so to celebrate I did a splurge meal. I bought two porterhouse steaks, mushrooms, baking potatoes, asparagus, and some cupcakes. It ended up being a fantastic dinner for about $55.
